You’re Mentally, Physically Unfit To Be Nigerian President, Atiku Hits Back At Tinubu

by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele January 12, 2023
written by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has argued that his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Bola Tinubu is sick and unfit to be the Nigerian President.

According to the former Vice President Tinubu is a “wobbly, wonky and narcotic-devastated Presidential Candidate”.

On Wednesday, Tinubu in a statement by the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, said he has it on good authority that Atiku indeed fell ill and travelled to the UK to seek medical help.

Reacting in a statement signed by the spokesperson for the Atiku-Okowa Campaign, Kola Ologbondiyan, Atiku said Tinubu is corrupt and unfit for public office owing to his alleged corruption.

Part of the statement read, “It is imperative to observe that our campaign had focused on issues and refrained from Tinubu’s appalling health issues prior to this ignoble public dance of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign.

“However, since Tinubu by himself has opened the channels for Nigerians to examine his ill health, we have no other option than to further expose that the APC Candidate must be suffering from manifest Parkinson’s disease accompanied with incontinence.

“For clarity, Parkinson’s disease is a brain disorder which symptoms include shaking hands, stiffness of limbs, difficulty with coordination, problem with balance when walking; articulation disorder, memory problems as well as general mental and physical weakness which are all being witnessed in the APC Presidential Candidate.

“This perhaps accounts for the desperation, the endless gaffes, the articulation errors, the incoherence, the many blunders and disconnection from reality for which Asiwaju Tinubu has become the butt of weird jokes among Nigerians and internationally.

“It is rather unfortunate that the APC Presidential Candidate, who cannot stand erect or walk up an elevation unaided, who is plagued by visible tremor of the hands, who palpitates at the slightest physical exertion and who is reported in the public space as being challenged by incontinence could attempt to speak on the health status of any Nigerian. Moreover, some medical professionals have associated certain cases of nerve cell death with narcotic use and unhealthy lifestyle and our campaign urges Tinubu to examine himself in that regard.”

Tinubu To Atiku :Disclose Your Health Status, Corrupt Tendencies To Nigerians

by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele January 11, 2023
written by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has asked the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar to disclose his health status to Nigerians.

He also call on his counterpart Atiku, to reveal his corrupt tendencies.

There were speculations that Atiku was flown to the UK, for medical attention, but his handlers said he was not ill but travelled out of the country on an invitation by the British government.

Tinubu in a statement by the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga reacted that Atiku was ill.

“We have it on good authority that Atiku indeed fell ill while missing on the field. He was indeed in the UK for some medical help, though handlers camouflage that he was there on the invitation of some British officials at Whitehall, in a mimic of the earlier visit of the APC rival, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Despite the efforts by his handlers to showcase Atiku as healthy and physically fit to endure the rigours of the presidential campaign, pictures from rallies have belied this.

“Campaign pictures sometimes showed him being helped to descend steps at stadia. Sometimes, he walked with an apparent handicap, dragging his feet.”

The statement said, “It is time for Atiku Abubakar, the 76-year-old presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party to come clean over two issues clouding his campaign: his health status and scandalous confession of how he colluded with his former boss, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to fleece the Nigerian treasury, using the special purpose vehicles after he became vice-president in 1999.”

Tinubu added that if Atiku has some modicum of honour, he ought to have stepped down from the race as he is bound to lose again.

Tinubu Takes Fresh Dig At Peter Obi, Calls Him ‘Stingy’

by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele January 7, 2023
written by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential  , Bola Tinubu has taken a fresh dig against the Labour Party Presidential Candidate Peter Obi.

Tinubu who made the remarks while speaking during the Ondo state rally at Democracy Park, Akure, the state capital on Saturday described Obi as a stingy man.

According to the Vanguard Newspapers, Tinubu said his vision for the country can only be harvested by progressive and democratic governance, which according to him Obi cannot do.

He said: “The truth of the difference between my leadership and that of Mr. Obi lies in one observation. Although Lagos is crowded and Anambra has ample space, more people left Obi’s Anambra seeking a better life in Tinubu’s Lagos than left Lagos believing Obi had established a blueprint for growth in Anambra.

“My people, you cannot entrust your future or that of our nation to Mr. Sell Everything Atiku or Mr. Stingy Obi. But you can trust Mr. Progressive Good Governance Tinubu!”

Obi’s Endorsement, Obasanjo Envious Of Me – Tinubu

Obi’s Endorsement, Obasanjo Envious Of Me – Tinubu

by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele January 6, 2023
written by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu on Thursday, slammed former President Olusegun Obasanjo for his endorsement of Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25 presidential poll.

Tinubu spoke at a rally held at the University of Benin Sports Complex in Benin City, the Edo State capital.

Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, said Obasanjo is “jealous” of his achievements, adding that the “the blind” cannot lead “the blind”. He also said the former President’s endorsement of Obi won’t work or make any difference in the outcome of the election in the next couple of weeks.

Tinubu recalled that as Lagos governor from 1999 to 2007, whilst Obasanjo was President, he “punished” him and millions of residents of Lagos by allegedly withholding local government funds that belonged to the nation’s commercial nerve centre.

Tinubu also accused Obasanjo and his then Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, who is now the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), of corruption.

Tinubu alleged that both Obasanjo and Atiku seized the Federal Government’s allocation to Lagos and used “Nigeria’s funds” to buy cars for their girlfriends through shady privatisation scheme.

“Can that man recommend a leader for you in Nigeria? Is that not sending an agent to pick your pocket?” Tinubu asked thousands of APC supporters at the rally.

“A blind leading the blind. I am sorry I am not insulting visually impaired people. But it won’t work, they will end up in the ditch. If I talk about Obasanjo and Obi…one who doesn’t know the way cannot show the way,” the APC candidate said.

Despite the many patronising visits of presidential candidates to his Abeokuta home, 85-year-old Obasanjo on January 1, 2023 shunned 17 candidates and endorsed Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, saying he has an edge over other contestants.

Obi’s endorsement by the former Nigerian military head of state between February 1976 and October 1979 has since riled the candidates of the APC, the PDP, amongst others.

Similarly, the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Edwin Clark on Tuesday endorsed Obi as his preferred candidate. Obi was also previously endorsed by leader of pan Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo.

Obi, who has been put ahead of other candidates in many pre-election polls of late, is popularly amongst youths who are thirsty of genuine national change but only time will tell the winner of the February 25 election.

According to Section 34 of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Regulations and Guidelines for the conduct of elections, a presidential candidate can only be announced as the winner if he or she “has the majority of votes cast at the election; and has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja”.

Nigerians Will Enjoy A Better 2023 With Tinubu As President, Says Obasa

by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele January 1, 2023
written by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has expressed optimism that Nigerians will experience a better 2023 with the citizens voting massively to elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their President.

Dr. Obasa said this in his New Year message on Sunday, while congratulating Nigerians for witnessing the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023.

Obasa, in a statement released by Eromosele Ebhomele, his Chief Press Secretary, said with less than two months to the general election, only Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is better positioned to succeed President Buhari, who will leave office on May 29, 2023.

He described Tinubu as the hope Nigerians currently have for a better country judging from the positive result of the foundation the former governor laid in Lagos State between 1999 and 2007.

The Speaker specifically commended Lagosians for ensuring continuity in the government of the State saying this consistency in electing candidates from the progressives had produced a Lagos that is today the fifth largest economy in Africa.

“The consistency by the electorate in Lagos has produced the right leadership and results with our dear State enjoying some firsts in different sectors of the economy and human existence.

“Lagos has become a reference point for other states and some African countries because of the structures that have been put in place since 1999 to mitigate perceived or projected challenges facing the massively growing city. We have maintained proactiveness as a government.

“We now have a State that has become very attractive to investors and those seeking for better life because of our people-oriented laws, motions and resolutions as well as the synergy among the arms of government.

“For the avoidance of doubt, this is what Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wants to replicate at the centre, a Nigeria where equity would become the norm.

“Just as I congratulate Nigerians for witnessing 2023, I want to urge us all to enter the year with renewed hope that the country will be greater than previous years and that Tinubu will take over the reigns of leadership.

“Here in Lagos, I want to urge the residents to encourage our party, the APC, by re-electing our dear Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, especially for his positive strides in the governance, growth and development of our State.

“We should also ensure this electoral victory touches every APC senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidate in the forthcoming election.

“We will not relent as we continue to build the State of our future,” the Speaker said.

Aggrieved G-5 govs Meets Tinubu In UK

by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele December 29, 2022
written by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele

The five aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party governors have met with the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu in London, the United Kingdom.

The APC standard bearer was said to have lobbied for the endorsement of the five governors during the marathon meeting which was held on Tuesday.

Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu states and some political heavyweights from the South had vowed not to support the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, over the refusal of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, to resign after Atiku obtained the presidential ticket of the party.

But hours after the governors meeting with Tinubu, the PDP said it was not aware of their parley with the ruling party’s presidential candidate, noting that as far it was concerned, the governors were in the UK on vacation.

The main opposition party, however, threatened to punish the governors for any anti-party activities, stressing that it had the capacity to discipline the recalcitrant governors.

Shedding light on the London meeting, a source stated, “Tinubu met with the aggrieved governors yesterday (Tuesday) along with a delegation that included (Kayode) Fayemi, (Babajide) Sanwo-Olu, one other governor and an ex-governor. For now, we are only waiting for the G-5 governors to make the official pronouncement in January.”

2022 Election: Tinubu, Wike’s Camps Meet To Finalise Deal

by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele December 28, 2022
written by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele

To finalise the deal on the 2023 presidency, five aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are set to meet with the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Daily Trust has reliably gathered.

A reliable source close to the former Lagos State governor, said barring any last-minute change, the meeting will be held in one of the European countries this week.

The source, who refused to give the exact date of the meeting, however, said it is being conveyed to firm up their deal on the 2023 presidency with the governors.

He said the G-5 governors, comprising Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) would after the meeting make their preferred presidential candidate known to the public.

The governors, it was gathered are already in the United Kingdom ahead of the meeting.

“The support by G5 for Tinubu is going to be a game changer, akin to the declaration of the G6 for the APC in 2014.

“We are meeting with the group this week in Europe to firm up the arrangement. They are first-class nationalists who believe in the Nigeria project and we shall work together for the good of the nation,” he said.

Arising from the presidential primaries of the PDP that produced a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Daily Trust reports that there has been a crisis rocking the leading opposition party.

The nomination of the Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as the vice presidential candidate ballooned the internal wrangling with the five governors calling for the head of the national chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.

Several efforts by the various organs of the party to pacify the governors have hit the rock.

Tinubu, Atiku, Obi, Others Unfit To Lead Nigeria In Right Direction —Sowore

by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele December 26, 2022
written by Oluwamuyiwa Oyedele

African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, on Monday said his counterparts in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) were unfit to govern Nigeria.

Sowore made the comment in an interview on Rave Television Channel.

The human rights activist lambasted the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration for allegedly throwing Nigerians into abject poverty with its poor policies.

He also attributed Nigeria’s underdevelopment to corruption perpetuated by politicians and challenged Nigerians to take bold decisions of voting younger and credible leaders next year.

“What I keep saying is that Nigerians should realize in their minds that this is time for fresh ideas, not for old stagers such as Tinubu, Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso and the like. For too long, these older candidates with all their records in government have slowed down the progress of the country. They have perpetually kept the country in underdevelopment with corruption and impunity.

“2023 should be about competence, character and vision. Nigerians should change direction and vote for a candidate who has been with the oppressed. What makes candidates win is votes. It is important to look beyond broken records and vote for visionaries,” Sowore said.
